So.... when you see a background that's just crying out to be made into a card.... you get this!! The stamp is a Joanna Sheen, the 'lace circle' is a die and the lace at the bottom is a Martha Stewart punch!! Can't remember what the background is.... but the colouring of the card candy, the dress, the die and the lace border are all Spectrum Noir!!!
My friend down the cottages who is also a cardmaker was over the moon with it!! LOL

I Love Spectrum Noir!!
You can do soooo much with them!! You can tell from these birthday cards that I've been playing.... LOL.
The first card here is a digi image from Mo's Digital Pencil, and I just think she's brilliant!! She's my sort of fairy.... VBG, not all 'cute and young'....
She's just flying over to http://mosdigitalchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/challenge-160-c-is-for.html?ref=nf for their challenge.... C is for..... Colouring in!!! LOL!!
The 'background card here was also coloured with them, doesn't she look wonderful??
The second one was made for my friends daughter (the same friend that set me off making cards etc in the first place. Said daughter is mad on manga, and when I saw the image (can't remember where), she just called out that she had to be done in greys...
Definitely one for the teenager!! Well, at 12 she's nearly there!!! I've also found out that you can colour plain white card candy to match whatever you're doing!! No more trying to match the card candy!! YEAY!!!
The third card here was stamped from a free stamp on the front cover of a recent magazine, and coloured using watercolour pencils and I made her for my Mother in Law who is now 91 and full of energy!! I hope I have enough energy when I'm 91!!!
That's it for tonight folks.... can't wait for the rest of the pens I've ordered to arrive.... Then it will be a birthday card for 'himself', and christmas cards.... ooh me fingers are itching!!

Sorting Photos
Well now, two posts in one day!!! I've been looking through my old photos this afternoon and found some cards I never put on here.... (oops!!). Soooo, here goes!! This card was done for a friends birthday. I used watercolour pencils on it.... a favourite of mine!! I do love watercolour pencils for subtle colours!!
Now this one was done for another friend.... Sarah Kay stamps.... delicious!! And those chicks.... simply gorgeous!! It was coloured using whisper pens.
And the last one for now is a Sugar Nellie stamp belonging to my mate Melissa!! I remember this one clearly because I see it every few weeks when I go visiting another friend!! She's framed it and put it on the wall in the office!!! (Well, she loves shades of orange and brown, and also loves her gardening!! Once again it was whisper pens....
One day I'll invest in some 'proper' markers for birthdays, christmas and the like.... LOL!! Until then, peeps will just have to put up with me hand written notes!!

Another two...
Well folks, I got hold of some Spectrum Noir pens.... and it's Carol's birthday tomorrow.... I had to make two cards quickly!!!! And.... the stamps are 'freebies' with a magazine!! These are the first results of my attempts at colouring with the pens. Hope Carol likes them.... one from me and one from my son!!
Oh, the card candy on the bottom one was coloured in with the same pens!!! I Love Them!!!! Then, just now I go on Crafters Companion and.... they've got a challenge.... Birthdays!!! These have to be linked there!!! LOL

About time....
I showed you another card!!
This one started off as a seed.... you see our daughter got married last year. The theme for the wedding was - Sunflowers!! Sunflowers in her bouquet, on the tables, the chairs, the cake.... and the colour yellow featured rather highly too!!
Anyway, she handed out sunflower seeds for the guests.... we managed to grow two of them (didn't plant them all I might add...). It was their wedding anniversary last weekend, and we spotted this bee 'visiting' one of the sunflowers. A photo was taken.... and the rest, as they say, was my imagination!!
The photo was printed out four times, background, sunflower, seed centre and bee!! Decoupaged onto card, matted onto brown card and placed on an 8 x 8 card!!
They get back from their hols today.... hope they like it!!
